Fracking (hydraulic fracturing) company Cuadrilla are facing mounting resistance from angry residents as they prepare for exploratory drilling for oil just outside the village of Balcombe in West Sussex. PLEASE watch and share this film – The residents are asking for as many people as possible to come to Balcombe to support the permanent protest.
In the U.S., Australia and Canada, fracking has already produced contaminated drinking water, chemical pollution, earthquakes, a number of serious illnesses including deaths, the loss of grazing land for livestock through contamination, the iindustrialisation of the countryside and nuclear radiation.
